The scripture lesson for this week was from 1 John 3. The heart verse can be found in verses 2 to 3.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

UPCOMING MINISTRY MEETINGS, REHEARSALS AND EVENTS

Every Sunday – The Hurting Hearts Ministry will provide food (provided by Tops) for any individual in need directly following Worship Service.

Every Sunday – Shoe Box Project are now accepting donations for Operation Christmas.  We are collecting items such as small bars of soap for children, toothbrushes, No. 2 pencils, small stuffed bears or other comforting animal toys, etc.  Please do not send any war or military related items or toys.  Money donations are also acceptable.  All donations must be in by August 30th.  See bulletin board in back hall for more information.

Weekly, Through August 2015 – Women’s Ministry will be collecting toiletries for the City Mission.

Friday, August 28, 2015 Homeless Dinner… Volunteers for serving are needed. $25 will feed 5 homeless individuals. See Sister Hope Thompson.

If you want to write a letter, send a card, or etcetera to a missionary overseas their contact information is available on the bulletin board outside of the Fellowship Hall. You’d be surprised by how much you can cheer someone up.
