24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 (NIV)

WHY COME OUT?
The main goal of Delaware Avenue Baptist Church’s Youth Night is to afford young people with the opportunity to be further enriched by the word. As Pastor Robinson always says:
+Time Spent in It
In addition to spiritual growth, we wanted to provide our younger members with greater exposure to cultural events and family friendly activities that they can enjoy with their church community, here in our church home, as well as abroad.
So, if you’re looking for a great way to kick off you’re weekend; Or, you just want to thank the Lord for getting you through a tough or awesome week in fellowship; Maybe, you just want something you can do together as a family or with your friends; Then come, let us worship the Lord together!
Youth Night Schedule
Youth Night will take place once a month on the last Friday of the month from 6pm – 7:30pm. We will congregate at the Delaware Avenue Baptist Church or abroad for field trips. The church can provide transportation for members if needed; but you will have to call in advance 884-0070.
All are welcome to attend, however there will be permission slips for meetings abroad. You must attend bible study to attend field trips.
In the Gap
We are thankful that the youth ministry and parents who participate are of one mind; in that, all children can only benefit from growing up with the word of God and need to learn through practice how to fellowship with the Lord in order to sustain that faith. We pray together, pray for ourselves, and for the world around us. We are learning the importance of putting prayer to practice as a first line of defense.
In the works
There are plenty of things that the youth ministry would like to accomplish.
We would like to begin to utilize the basement for youth night activities and events for our older participants, open a computer lab where we can help them with school projects, apply to colleges, and etc. We also want to afford those interested in acting, singing, and etc. with the opportunity to host dinner theatre and performances for our community. However, this will take a little time, elbow grease, and of course, prayer is always welcome. If there are any young people or parents who would like to participate please email the church at email@example.com.
Sacrifice of Service
There are also things in the works for the immediate future; the young people have shown an interest in working in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity and volunteering at a soup kitchen during the summer but, everyone may not be able to participate as there are age restrictions and volunteering at a soup kitchen during the summer.
Maybe there is something that you would like to see them participate or maybe you know how we can get involved in more volunteer opportunities in the surrounding area. Email the church at firstname.lastname@example.org or inbox us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/dabc965.
