September is Healthy Aging Month

October 3-4, 2023

The American Baptist Women are sponsoring a trip to see the production of “MOSES” at the Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Features:

(1) A two day overnight trip on a deluxe chartered motor coach bus.

(2) If travelers sign up with a $100 deposit by August 9th (paid within the first 30 days) they will receive a Cancellation Protection Plan. If you cancel for medical or emergency reasons, you will receive a full refund.

(3) The hotel and ticket fee, bus trip, and one dinner will be included in the price.

(4) We will be shopping at the Outlet Malls, shopping at Kitchen Kettle with lunch on your own.

(5) There will be two pick up location:

* Faith Baptist Church, 626 Humboldt Pkwy

* Kenmore Baptist Church, 10 Wardman Rd.

(6) The Committee will NOT collect any monies! All of your correspondence will be conducted through Bus America Tours. By the end of September all monies must be paid.

Tuesday, October 10th:

Special Invitation! American Baptist Women will meet at 6PM in the Life Center (Saint John Baptist Church, 184 Goodell Street). Agenda includes missionary report, pot luck dinner, and other fellowship. Van transport is available. The sign-up sheet is on the table in the back foyer. Put check mark in front of your name if van is need.

Sunday, October 15th:

Pastor Appreciation dinner. More information to be announced.

Prayer Tree

Prayer Tree is located on a wall in the Fellowship Hall near the windows. If you would like us to pray for you, please print your prayer request on the sticky note and place it on the tree. Prayer is offered daily.

Have/Need Board

The Have/Need Board is located the wall immediately inside the Fellowship Hall near the coffee. If you need something or have something please post it on the board (leave your phone number).

Inclement Weather

Due to icy, stormy, or blizzard conditions, the church may have to close. Watch Channels 2, 4, & 7 to get “Close Now” strip at the bottom of your TV screen about closing and reopening. You may also view the Channels 2, 4, & 7 websites for listings not shone on the TV screen.

Reminders

Let us know when your name, address, apartment, or phone number has changed. Many cards/letters have been returned because of wrong information on envelope. Please fill out the form on the table in the back foyer and put it in the specially marked box. You may also submit this information online by emailing the church office at dabc965@gmail.com with your name and the information that has changed.

Don’t forget to practice social distancing while in the building. Sit in the pews marked by the blue tape.
